The new fusion page allows users to work in a 3D workspace which offers “ over 250 tools for compositing, vector paint, keying, rotoscoping, text animation, tracking, stabilization, particles, and more.” Along with additional workspace, Blackmagic has added support for Apple Metal, multiple GPUs, and CUDA acceleration, making Fusion faster than ever.ĭaVinci Resolve 15 is available for free, here, for all major platforms, including Mac, Windows, and Linux. What was once a dedicated color-correcting application has evolved to incorporate a non-linear editor, Fairlight, a full-fledged suite of mastering audio, and with version 15, Fusion, which is an advanced node-based compositing tool. For those that are familiar with Adobe’s editing suite consisting of Premiere, Audition, and After Effects, DaVinci Resolve will feel much more intuitive, containing all of the features in one application instead of several dedicated but separate pieces.
